Experience

I have built a diverse and meaningful career in the mental health field, practising since 2021 with hands-on experience supporting individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My journey began as a suicide crisis Counsellor, where I provided immediate, compassionate support to individuals in crisis. I later worked as a Psychometrist at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, where I conducted in-depth psychological assessments to support clients in their recovery journeys.

As a Registered Counsellor at an organisation focused on gambling addiction, I provided individual counselling for both those battling with gambling as well as counselling for their family members and facilitated a weekly support group, helping clients build healthier coping strategies and regain control over their lives. I’ve also worked at an organisation offering counselling services to members of the LGBTQ+ community, creating an affirming and inclusive space where clients felt safe to explore their identities, relationships, and mental health concerns.

Beyond individual counselling, I’ve been actively involved in outreach initiatives, delivering psychoeducational talks at schools to promote emotional wellbeing and mental health awareness, especially among youth. These experiences have deepened my commitment to providing accessible, empathetic, and evidence-based mental health support across a wide range of communities.
